Wine Battle "Royale"
NEW WORLD VS. OLD WORLD
Are you already familiar with our popular “Wine-Battle” event series? Then it’s time to take it to the next level: “ROYALE”!
This time, it’s not regions or countries competing against each other, but two wine worlds: the Old World, with its tradition and terroir, versus the experimental New World.
Restaurant manager Julian Berkhemer is representing the Old World and is focusing on German wineries. His opponent, sommelier Dominik Blanke, is showcasing innovative wineries from overseas. Together, the two teammates—now as rivals—will host the evening, and the audience will help decide: Which wines are in the lead?
You can also look forward to a specially curated four-course meal.
For each course, a winery from the Old World competes against one from the New World.
OLD WORLD:
Artists from Hochheim
Huber from Malterdingen
Salwey from Baden
Reichsrat von Buhl from Deidesheim
NEW WORLD:
Penfolds from Australia
Robert Mondavi from California
Errázuriz from Chile
Cloudy Bay from New Zealand
